For a Life Science project we co-created a smart weighing device, to monitor eating behaviour in the health care sector. Based on mutual preparedness to investigate feasibility regarding different electronics and mechanical compatabilities, we developed a proof of principle.
We were able to cramm in all electronics in this very flat device, weighing all possible plates and dishes.
The decrease of weight while eating is measured by means of 4 independent loadcells.
By design the loadcells and weighing plates do not interfere and perform good on almost every table top surface.
