The dot.pot is a 3-in-1 product for modern bathrooms. Kids start potty training on the potty and advance to toilet training using the dot.pot as a toilet trainer and step stool, significantly increasing the product’s lifespan and reducing plastics usage.

Baby Matters won a ‘cradle to cradle’ Grenzeloos Gebruik award for their ambition to develop a 100% healthy and recyclable potty. It too won a Red Dot Design Award, Amrande DesignPreis, a nomination for Best Baby & Infant Product 2010 and a nomination Best Innovation Kind + Jugend in 2009

This project for Baby Matters is a fine example of the full product development services Smidesign provides, from idea to market introduction. A brand vision and new product candidates were laid out in an innovation workshop with people from Baby Matters, designers, child care professionals and an expert in branding and communication strategies. The final concept was further developed, prototyped and engineered by Smidesign.
We coordinated the certification, patent research and application, packaging development, prototyping and testing.
